B.K. Sudha Rani Gupta B.K. Sudha is General Director of Brahma Kumaris, Moscow (organisation included in the Register of NGOs, interacting with the Executive bodies of Moscow)
and Chairperson of Council of Trustees of Brahma Kumaris Centres in the territory of Russia, CIS and Baltic countries.


•  Biography
Born in 1953 in Delhi. She completed her education from University of Delhi with a Degree of Master of Science in Botany M. Sc (Botany) and a Degree of Bachelor of Education (B. Ed). After completing her secular education which she continued along with spiritual education, she dedicated her life to Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University (BKWSU) with an elevated aim of serving the humanity.
B. K. Sudha has accumulated rich experience during more than 45 years in India & overseas as senior teacher of spiritual knowledge, human values and Raja-yoga.

1989 was the year of beginning of the activities of the University in former Soviet Union. B. K. Sudha visited many cities with the aim of sharing her spiritual experience. She became instrumental in opening centres in the cities of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Mongolia.

•  Participation in National and International events
B. K. Sudha participated in many international conferences on the themes like Tolerance; Spiritual Unity of Humanity; Values in Education; Education in Spirituality; Celibacy and Altruism; Religious Freedom in the Pluralistic Society; Eco Ethics of XXI Century; Human Rights, Culture of Peace and Tolerance - the Contents and Methods of Teaching and many others.

She was also invited to participate and give her views in the round-table in the State Parliament on the theme Culture against Terrorism in the framework of preparation for Parliament hearings. Participated in a Conference of the Public chamber of the Russian Federation "Safety of the children. The prevention of child road traffic injuries».

•  Organizer and Coordinator
She coordinated more than 50 programmes in Russia to support the Manifest-2000 for a Culture of Peace and Non-violence. For this noble task, Russian branch of the University was awarded the Gold Medal “Palm of Peace” by Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO.

She was the co-organizer of the International Congress of Mothers “Women and Family Values” and the International retreat “Golden Morning” in India, with the participation of high-level delegation from Russia and neighbouring countries. She was the coordinator of socially significant Project “Relay- race of Positive Changes” (2007-2008). During this period a variety of value-based programmes were conducted in more than 200 cities of Russia and nearby countries. She is also the organizer and coordinator of the project “I choose benevolence” which began in 2011 and continues till date.

She is the co-organizer of the International project competition of children's creativity "Fairy Tales of a Beautiful Heart" under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO. She became the initiator of public action "Day of remembrance - a day without accidents" dedicated to the world day of remembrance for road traffic victims.

•  Visit to different countries of the world
B. K. Sudha visited UK, USA, France, Germany, Montenegro, Italy, Spain, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Panama, Mongolia, Nairobi, Australia, Thailand and few other countries on the invitation of the centers of BKWSU. People from different spheres of life showed a keen interest in her lectures and talks. Public programmes and special meetings were organized for members of the public, artists, musicians and actors, members of elite sports clubs, businessmen and administrators, aged people and youth.

•  Publications
B. K. Sudha is the author of book “Unending Treasures” and co- author of book “Moral Values”. The books are published in Russian. She has been interviewed a number of times on Radio, TV, different newspapers.

•  Awards and testimonials
B. K. Sudha was awarded with the Jubilee Medal “55th Anniversary of UN Peacemaking Activity” for upbringing children and youth in a spirit of culture of peace and solidarity , 2003. In the framework of Federal informational project “People of our Millennium” she was awarded with the Memorable Medal “Person of Millennium” in the year 2009.

She was honored with high public award
- an order of the first degree “For nobility of intentions and deeds”, 2010;
- the Medal “For courage and humanism”, 2012;
- the Order "Peace and Friendship" on behalf of the Moscow Fund for peace, 2014;
- the Medal "For works in enlightenment, culture, art and literature” for her great educational contribution to spiritual development and cultural education, 2018;
- the Sign of Honor “Labor Valor” by the All-Russian NGO of Heroes, Cavaliers of State awards and Laureates of State awards “Labor Valor of Russia”, 2019.
Included in the encyclopedia "The World of Women" which collected well-known, women leaders in Russia, whose names marked the third Millennium.

She holds the jubilee medal dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the institute of scientific-practical medicine of Kazakhstan.
